How To Connect Your Discord Account with Bit Social

👉 There are two ways to connect with Discord:

1. One Click Connect Method
2. Custom App Method

One Click Connect Method

By following this method, you can easily authorize your Discord account to Bit Social. This simple authorization process allows for quick Discord integration without any complex setup. With this feature, you can efficiently manage and post updates to your Discord server directly from Bit Social, making community management easier and boosting engagement with minimal effort.

Please follow the steps below to add your Discord accounts:

• Go to Bit Social Home and open the Accounts section.
• Click on Connect Account.
• Under Discord, click on the Connect button.
• Choose your server and click Continue, then click Continue again.
• Your Discord channels will appear.
• Click Save to connect the channel you want.

Custom App Method

First, go to the Discord Developer Portal and click on “New Application.” Then, give your application a name. After that, click on “Create“.

Now, you need to add your Redirect URL and copy the Client ID to connect with Discord.

• On the left side, click on OAuth2.
• Under the Redirects section, add your Redirect URL.
  • To get your Redirect URI visit Bit Social Home and navigate to the “Accounts” section.
  • Under the Discord, select the “Custom App” button.
  • Your Redirect URI will be displayed.
• Copy the Client ID from the Client Information section.
• Go to Bit Social and paste the Client ID into the App Key field.

Now, you need to set up your Bot and generate an App Secret to connect with Discord.

• On the left side, click on “Bot.”
• Scroll down to “Bot Permissions.”
• Under “TEXT PERMISSIONS,” enable these permissions:
  • Send Messages
  • Embed Links
  • Attach Files.
• After granting permissions, scroll up and click on “Reset Token.”
• Copy the token.
• Go to Bit Social and paste the token into the App Secret field.

After entering the App Key and App Secret in Bit Social

• Click on the “Add” button.
• Under Connected Apps, click on “Connect.”
• Select your server.
• Click on “Authorize.”
• Your Discord channel will be displayed.
• Click on the “Connect” button for the channel you want to connect.
• After successfully connecting, click on “Continue.”
