How To Connect Your Google Business Profile with Bit Social

👉 There are two options for connecting with Google Business Profile:

1. One Click Connect Method
2. Custom App Method

One Click Connect Method

By following this method, you can easily authorize your Google Business Profile account to Bit Social. This authorization process allows for quick Google Business Profile integration without the need for any complicated setup. This feature enables you to efficiently manage and post on your Google Business Profile profile directly from Bit Social, making social media management easier and boosting your online presence with minimal hassle.

Please follow the steps below to add your Google Business Profile:

• Go to Bit Social Home and navigate to the Accounts section.
• Click on “Connect Account.”
• Under Google Business Profile, click the “Connect” button.
• Sign in to your Google Business Profile account. If you’re already signed in, choose your account.
• Your business profile will be displayed.
• Click the “Save” button for the profile you wish to connect.

Custom App Method

To use the Custom App Method, go to the Google Console and create a new project. After creating your project, enable the Google Business API. Then, create an application and use its client ID and client secret to connect your Google Business Profile with Bit Social. This method offers more control and customization over the connection between your Google Business Profile and Bit Social.

Please follow the steps below to create a Google Business Profile Application and add your accounts using this Application:

Create a Project:

Start by going to the Google Console and creating a new project. Once the project is created, select it.

Enable APIs:

Next, go to APIs and Services and enable the required APIs. For detailed instructions, you can refer to the Basic Setup documentation on Google Developers.

Enable the following APIs:

• My Business Account Management API
• My Business Lodging API
• My Business Place Actions API
• My Business Notifications API
• My Business Verifications API
• My Business Business Information API
• My Business Q&A API
• Business Profile Performance API
• Google My Business API

You won’t find the “Google My Business API” in the API enable list because it is a private API. To enable it, you need to fill out a request form. After reviewing your submission, Google developers will whitelist the “Google My Business API” for your project.

To request access to this API, visit the Basic Setup page on Google Developer. In the Note section, you’ll find a link to a form to request access to the APIs. Click on the link and submit the form.

After you get access to the “Google My Business API,” Google will email you. Then, you need to enable the “Google My Business API.”

Configure OAuth Consent Screen:

• After enabling all the API, go to the “OAuth Consent Screen.”
• Choose “External” as the user type and click “Create.”
• Provide details for your app, including a name, support email, and developer contact information then click on “Save and Continue“.
• In the scope section, click on “Add or Remove Scopes” and select all the scopes. Finally, click on “Update.”
• Progress through the consent screen setup by clicking “Save and Continue” until you reach the dashboard.
• Publish your app and confirm the action.

Generate Client ID and Client Secret:

• Now, go to the “Credentials” section and click “Create credentials” followed by “OAuth Client ID.”
• Select “Web Application” as the Application type and assign a name.
• Under “Authorized JavaScript origins,” include your website’s “Homepage URL“
• Under “Authorized redirect URIs,” add the authorized redirect URIs.
  • To get your authorized redirect URIs:
    • Navigate to Bit Social Home and go to the Accounts section.
    • Click on “Connect Account.”
    • Under Google Business Profile, click on the “Custom App” button.
    • Your Redirect URI will be displayed.
• Click “Create.”

Obtain and Utilize Credentials:

• Your Client ID and Client Secret will now be displayed.
• Copy these credentials and paste them into the appropriate fields on your Bit Social account for Google Business Profile.”

Please follow the steps below to add your Google Business Profile:

• Copy the Client ID and Client Secret.
• Paste these into the App Key and App Secret fields in Bit Social to connect with Google Business Profile using the Custom App Method.
• Click on the “Add” button.
• Under Connected Apps, click on “Connect.”
• Sign in to your google account.
• Your Business Profile will be displayed.
• Click the “Save” button for the profile you wish to connect.
