With Bit Social, you can create posts, add descriptions, and share images and links directly to your LinkedIn Pages and Profiles.

One Click Connect Method

By following this method, you can easily authorize your LinkedIn account to Bit Social. This authorization process allows for quick LinkedIn integration without the need for any complicated setup. This feature enables you to efficiently manage and post on your LinkedIn profile directly from Bit Social, making social media management easier and boosting your online presence with minimal hassle.

Please follow the steps below to add your LinkedIn accounts:

  • Navigate to Bit Social Home and go to the Accounts section.
  • Click on “Connect Account.”
  • Under LinkedIn, click on the “Connect” button.
  • Sign in to your LinkedIn account.
  • Your profile and pages will be displayed.
  • Click on the “Save” button for the profile or page you wish to connect.

When you connect your LinkedIn account via the Bit Social app, the product will request certain permissions to function properly. These permissions allow Bit Social to interact with your LinkedIn account for managing posts and gathering engagement metrics. Rest assured, Bit Social only requests the minimum necessary permissions to perform these tasks. Here’s a breakdown of the typical permissions involved:

Read Permissions:

  • Profile Information: Bit Social can access your LinkedIn profile information, including your name, profile picture, and public details. This is used to identify your account within the app.
  • Posts and Content: The app may read posts made through the platform to track engagement or provide analytics, but it does not access private messages or sensitive personal data beyond what is publicly available on your profile.

Write Permissions:

  • Post to Your Timeline: Bit Social requires permission to create and schedule posts on your behalf. It can only publish posts that you’ve approved or scheduled within the app.
  • Content Updates: The app may update or edit posts that you’ve created using the platform, but it cannot modify other posts or data outside of this scope.

Security and Data Protection:

  • Bit Social does not have access to private messages, connections lists, or any other sensitive data unless explicitly authorized by you.
  • The app does not store your LinkedIn password or login credentials. Authentication is handled through secure OAuth protocols, meaning Bit Social never sees or stores your password.
  • You can revoke Bit Social’s access to your LinkedIn account at any time. Simply visit LinkedIn’s Manage Data and Activity Settings to review and remove permissions as needed, giving you full control over your account’s access.

We take privacy and security seriously and ensure that we only use the permissions necessary for the social media management tasks you’ve requested.”

Custom App Method

In the Custom App Method, you need to visit LinkedIn Developers and create a new app. After creating your app, you’ll need to configure its settings to integrate it with Bit Social. This method provides more control and customization over the connection between your LinkedIn account and Bit Social.
