How To Connect Your Threads Account with Bit Social

• Custom App Method

One Click Connect Method

By following this method, you can easily authorize your Threads account with Bit Social. This authorization process allows quick integration without any complicated setup. Once connected, you can efficiently manage and publish posts to your Threads profile directly from Bit Social, making social media management simpler and helping you maintain a stronger online presence with ease.

Please follow the steps below to connect your Threads with Bit Social:

• Go to the Bit Social Home and open the Accounts section.
• Click Connect Account.
• Under Threads, select the Connect button.
• Click Continue to proceed.
• Your Threads profile will appear.
• Finally, click the Save button to complete the connection.

Custom App Method

In the Custom App Method, you need to visit Meta for Developers and create a new app. Once the app is created, configure its settings to integrate it with Bit Social. This method gives you greater control and flexibility over the connection between your Threads account and Bit Social.

Please follow the steps below to create a App in Meta Developers and add your accounts using this App:

First, go to Meta Developers and click on “My App“. If you haven’t registered as a developer yet, click “Get Started” in the top right corner to sign up.

Create App

• Click “Create App.”
• In the App Details section, enter a name for your app, provide an app contact email, and click Next.
• In the Use Cases section, select “Access the Threads API” and click Next.
• In the Business section, choose your business portfolio. If you don’t have one, select “I don’t want to connect a business portfolio yet” and click Next.
• In the Requirements step, click Next.
• In the Overview section, review all the settings and then click “Go to Dashboard.”

Configuring App

Next, you’ll need to enable the “threads_content_publish” API. From the dashboard, click on “Customize the Access the Threads API use case.” Then, click the Add button next to “threads_content_publish.”

On the left sidebar, navigate to Permissions and click on Settings. In this section, paste your Redirect URI into the fields: Redirect Callback URLs, Uninstall Callback URL, and Delete Callback URL.

To get the Redirect URI, go to Bit Social Home, open the Accounts section, and under Threads, click the Custom App button. Your Redirect URI will be displayed there.

From the left sidebar, go to App Roles and click on the Add People button under the Roles section. Choose the Threads Tester option. Next, enter the Threads username, select it, and then click Add to complete the process.

After adding the Threads Tester, the invited user will need to accept the invitation.

• Open your Threads account.
• Go to Settings → Account.
• Click on Website Permissions.
• Navigate to the Invitations tab.
• Find the pending request from the added user and accept it to complete the process.

Set Up Your Threads Custom App in Bit Social:

Finally, the app configuration is complete. Next, retrieve your Threads App ID and Threads App Secret, and enter them into the Bit Social App Key (Client ID) and App Secret (Client Secret) fields.

• Go back to Access Threads API and click on Settings.
• Locate your Threads App ID and Threads App Secret.
• Copy these values and paste them into Bit Social:
  • App Key / Client ID → Threads App ID
  • App Secret / Client Secret → Threads App Secret
• Click the Add button.
• Click Continue to proceed. Your Threads profile will appear.
• Finally, click Save to complete the connection.
