How to Use AI Prompt in Bit Social

AI Prompts in Bit Social lets you generate content automatically for your social media posts using AI. By creating reusable instructions (prompts) with Smart Tags, you can generate captions, summaries, hashtags, and images.

This makes AI prompts highly flexible for creating captions, summaries, hashtags, image ideas, product descriptions, and more. This feature integrates with OpenAI so Bit Social can produce content automatically whenever you publish or schedule a WordPress post.

Use AI Prompts in Bit Social – Step-by-Step Guide

Step-01: Connect Your OpenAI Account

Log in to your WordPress dashboard, go to Bit Social » AI Prompts, and you’ll find the list of AI providers there.

Next to OpenAI, click on the “Connect” button to continue. A pop-up will ask you to enter your OpenAI API key.

Get the API key from your OpenAI account, paste it here, and click Connect. After a few seconds, the interface will confirm that OpenAI is successfully connected.

Step 02: Create a New Prompt

While staying on the AI Prompts tab, click the Create Prompt button.

A form will open where you can set a title for your prompt (for example, “Generate Caption”).

Set the type to “Text” for content generation or “Image” for image creation, and select “Open AI” as the platform.

In the Model dropdown, pick an AI model (like gpt-4 for text or DALL·E-3 for images). Set the Temperature around 0.7 for a balance of creativity, and change it later if needed.

If you selected Text as the type, enter your prompt in the box. Include Smart Tags to add post data. Example: “Create a catchy LinkedIn caption for this post: {post_title}, {post_content_short_120}.”

At runtime, {post_title} and {post_excerpt} will automatically insert the post’s title and excerpt. You can use any tags you want, such as content, excerpt, or WooCommerce tags like product name, description, and SKU.

When you pick Image as the type, Bit Social uses DALL·E to generate it. In the prompt field, describe your desired image, and you can include Smart Tags like {post_title}. For example: “Generate an image based on “{post_title}” showing engineers and marketers in a creative battle to represent salary comparison”.

Select an image size (e.g., 1024×1024) and choose the style/quality you want. Enter your prompt, and DALL·E will create the image.

Click OK to save. Your prompt will now show in the AI Prompts list.

Step-03: Assign Prompts in Templates

When your prompts are ready, open Bit Social » Templates. You can edit your post templates there, including the message text and optional image.

For a template that uses AI Prompts, click the Prompt Tags button. You’ll see a list of all your created prompts. Select the text prompt you want to use. Your prompt text and tags will appear there.

For images, set the posting type to “Promt Image” if it isn’t already selected, then choose an Image Prompt from the image settings.

You can edit the prompt from here if necessary. Editing this one will not change your main prompt.

For images, set the posting type to “Image” if it isn’t already selected, then choose an image prompt from the “Prompt Name” option. You can also create a new prompt from the “Create new prompt” option if needed.

The template will now use this AI prompt when posting.

Step 04: Publish or Schedule with AI Prompts

Once your prompts are assigned, you can continue using Bit Social’s other features as usual.

WP Auto Post

When you publish a post on your WordPress site, Bit Social automatically shares it to your connected social accounts. If the selected template includes an AI prompt, the plugin first sends the prompt to the AI and receives the generated text or image. Then publishes the generated result.

WP Post Schedules

If you have a schedule for automatically sharing old or recurring posts, you can also apply AI prompts to it. The “Accounts & Template” step in the schedule setup lets you assign both a text prompt and an image prompt for that schedule.

Choose your created prompts there. When the schedule runs, Bit Social executes the prompts and uses the results the same way as auto-post.

In both cases, the setup is easy. Whenever a post is published or scheduled, Bit Social runs the selected prompts automatically. The prompts generate the text or image, and the result is posted right away. This allows you to create captions, summaries, or images automatically without doing anything manually.

Step-05: Review and Refine

After publishing or scheduling a post, Bit Social generates the content using your selected AI prompts and publishes it automatically. You can check the final caption or image on your social account or in the Bit Social logs.

If you want a different tone, length, or style, just adjust the prompt text or change the temperature value. If a generated result doesn’t look right, simply edit the prompt or update the Smart Tags.

Bit Social logs every post, so you can review what text or image was generated for each run. This helps you understand what works best and improve your prompts over time. With regular use, you’ll understand how to phrase prompts for better results.
